Lippert Schwintek
Standard and Inverted, this slide type is easy to recognize by its flush mounted gear racks on the top and bottom on the sides of the slide box. Common problems are caused by inproper lubrication, excessive H-column twisting during operation and moisture and dirt causing motor damage.
BAL Accu-Slide
The BAL Accu-Slide is a cable-operated slide-out system for RVs that uses stainless steel cables to move a room in and out. It's designed to be lightweight, cost-effective, and heavy-duty. The cables are all routed to the single motor and gear box usually located at the top (sometimes at the bottom) of the slide.
Lippert SlimRack
It has a rack-and-pinion design and is powered by a 12V DC gear motor. Easily recognized by the Gear track floating on the side walls at the top and bottom.
Hydraulic Slides
Commonly used in RVs, is a hydraulic mechanism manufactured (some common brands are HWH Corporation and Lippert) that extends and retracts "slideout" rooms on a vehicle, essentially expanding the living space by utilizing hydraulic cylinders powered by a pump to smoothly move the room section in and out; it's primarily known for its reliable and robust operation.
BAL Exact-Slide
The BAL Exact-Slide is a cable-operated slideout mechanism for RVs that uses EMFORCE technology ( Independently controls each side of the room for uniform movement and sealing) for precise control and sealing. It has two motors, one on each side of the room, that are hidden in the jambs.
Rack & Pinion Systems
Rack & pinion guide system, utilizing an electric ball screw actuator to move the room assembly. The motor drives the ball screw in a forward and backward motion to drive the slide room in and out. The actuator comes equipped with an automatic clutching system.
